Celebrating Life Abroad
Celebrating Life Abroad: The Journey, The Struggles and The Victories
Life often has a way of nudging us, sometimes gently, sometimes with a shove. For me, it was the latter. At a crossroads, I found myself surrounded by everything familiar yet yearning for something else—something unexplored, liberating, and profoundly personal. Celebrating life abroad became my mantra, a flame burning brighter with each passing day. This conscious choice came from a deep dissatisfaction. My boundaries were disregarded, my life misaligned with my soul’s purpose, and I wasn’t living in my truth.
My surroundings no longer inspired or uplifted me. Instead, they left my soul shocked, in disbelief, and my heart shattered into pieces. Painfully, I began piecing myself back together. In this process, my soul spoke louder than ever: You have so much more to offer the world. Don’t limit yourself. Be the embodiment of love and truth. Love is Love and Truth is Truth. Shine your light, share your gifts, and inspire others. The decision to embark on this journey was inevitable. Celebrating life abroad meant stepping into the unknown with faith and confidence.
Divine Timing
In less than 30 days, I gave away most of my belongings, sold cherished items, and donated what I could. The rest is history. With only two suitcases weighing 50 kilos each, I boarded a plane that took me to the magnificent world of Italy. There I was surrounded by people who embody happiness and love. Saying goodbye to my spiritual community was deeply emotional. These were people I had trusted and who had played a significant role in my life. Over time, however, it became clear that the environment no longer supported my well-being or aligned with my soul.
The Body and Soul Connection
Our bodies and souls have their own way of signaling when we are out of alignment. For me, it began with excruciating physical pain. Ignoring my soul’s whispers only intensified the discomfort. Remarkably, the moment I left that environment, the pain miraculously disappeared. When we choose to disregard the soul’s guidance, it will find ways to demand our attention in ways we might never anticipate. I realized leaving was not just a choice but an absolute necessity for my growth, healing and well-being. When I began this process, I didn’t know how profoundly celebrating life abroad would shape my soul’s purpose.
Follow Your Heart
Your shattered heart is your teacher, preparing you to step into the role you are here to fulfill. Follow your heart and trust what you are feeling, was the message. You no longer need to compromise your well-being or settle for less. You are capable of greatness without external validation or approval. This was my moment to trust myself fully and follow my heart.
The Souls Deeper Message
Everything you seek resides within you—waiting to be discovered. Now is the time to turn inward, to feel and heal the tender, delicate parts of yourself that need your undivided attention. What are these messages trying to teach you?
Letting go of relationships and conditioning beliefs that no longer serve you, can be done with compassion and grace. Take ownership of your life, rising above conditioned behaviors that limit you. Each moment offers an opportunity to step fully into your power. Choose to stay grounded in truth, resisting the illusion of victimhood. These experiences are not setbacks but invitations for your soul’s evolution.
Unconditional Love
Forgiveness does not arise from blame, shame, or the illusions created by the ego. True forgiveness flows from the space of unconditional love—free from justification, defense, or attachment to pain. It is a release, a gentle unfolding of the heart, dissolving the unconscious patterns and beliefs that once shaped your reality.
Forgive your unhealthy ego for its unconsciousness, for the ways it clung to limiting narratives and conditioned responses. By choosing to witness, learn, and grow, you reclaim your freedom. With each conscious decision, you remove your barriers and expand into a more powerful and authentic version of yourself.
For those you may have hurt along the way, ask for forgiveness from the deepest well of sincerity—from a space of love, humility, and grace. Let this open a bridge to healing and deeper connection. Recognize that forgiveness is not only a gift for others but a profound act of liberation for your own soul.
You are not bound by the past. Each moment is a doorway to begin again—to walk forward with open arms, an open heart, and the quiet knowing that you are free.
A Life of Your Own Creation
My love, it is now your time to create and live life as your soul desires—not by anyone else’s terms but your own. You are divinely guided every step of the way. Discover your essence, beauty, truth, and voice.
Approach each moment with love, authenticity, integrity, and curiosity. Move through life with grace, honoring your truth while embracing the beauty within and around you. Be loyal to your soul’s path and royal in your actions, reflecting the divinity you carry—both for yourself and for the world.
The Journey Begins
I began a profound healing journey in Italy. A place where I could fully embrace being myself. While grieving the loss of my beloved father, my spiritual community, and the family I once knew. Italy became a sanctuary for my soul. It offered the space to process, reflect, and reconnect with my inner self. Yet, after 35 days, I felt an undeniable pull to return to the US and begin the visa process. The Universe, it seemed, had other plans for me; Italy was not yet my destination.
Back in the US, I spent three months immersed in preparation. Gathering documents, navigating bureaucratic requirements, and preparing myself for the next chapter. During this time, I found inspiration to create the Viva La Visa course, a guide to help others confidently navigate the complexities of the visa process.
The transition was life-changing. I had walked away from everything I owned in California, stepping boldly into the unknown with faith as my compass. Trusting the process became my mantra, as I surrendered to the unfolding journey, knowing each step was guiding me closer to where I was truly meant to be. Through the ups and downs, I realized that celebrating life abroad wasn’t just a decision; it was a way of living with intention.
The Art of Letting Go
Simplifying my life and celebrating life abroad required sacrifices, but it also opened the door to infinite possibilities. It wasn’t just about parting with material possessions—it was about releasing attachments, shedding identities, and letting go of dreams that no longer aligned with my path. I discovered that the freedom I longed for came with bittersweet moments. Each item I released felt like a weight lifted, creating space for the new, the unknown, and the deeply transformative.
Honoring Boundaries
My time in Colorado and Washington State became a profound period of healing, grieving, and releasing everything I once believed to be my reality. It was a journey of deep self-awareness—a recognition of my boundaries, discovering what truly aligned as my “yes” and what needed to remain as my “no.” Trusting the process, I surrendered to the unfolding, opening my heart to the possibility of experiencing the magnificent world through the eyes of the beloved.
The Leap of Faith
Everything I owned was now within two suitcases and my backpack that had all my legal documents. By the time I boarded the plane, I was carrying more than just my backpack. I carried hope, courage, faith, and a deep sense of liberation. Arriving in a new country with a fresh set of eyes, curiosity and an open heart. I’d imagined the transition to be a little easier and seamless, but the Universe had other plans. I surrendered to all the infinite possibilities, the good, the bad and all the in-between ones too.
The visa challenges I faced tested me in ways I never dreamed of, but they also taught me to trust the journey, to embrace uncertainty, and to find strength in the unknown. It also inspired me to write every detail of my visa process, including things that only locals shared with me. This content I share in great depth within the Viva La Visa course.
Each step of my process was an affirmation of my decision to follow my heart and create the life I truly desired. The signs of being in flow and in alignment were confirmations that I was in the right place in the right divine moment.
Divine Alignment
When life flows in harmony with the universe, every moment becomes a celebration. Celebrating life isn’t reserved for the serendipitous moments. it’s a way of being, a state of alignment with the rhythm of nature and the abundance surrounding us every single day. Life is grand—celebrate it.
In those sacred moments of flow, playful signs emerge as whispers from the universe, reminding us we are exactly where we are meant to be. Each sign feels like a warm embrace, a divine nudge to keep going.
Playful Signs
Here are the sacred signs that guided my journey, each one flowing with divine purpose, shaping the ever-unfolding path of my existence:
- The Sacred Bee—This was the first sign that I was leaving California. A special and sacred painting was sold. Sight unseen, divinely orchestrated and so auspicious.
- Healing and Reflection in Italy: When two souls mirror each other’s journey to healing and growth.
- A Divine Soul—an angel with a gift: Their presence reminded me that the universe miraculously works through others, offering us gifts of guidance and love when we least expect it.
- Nine Days Before Expiration: In a seemingly impossible scenario, the visa process aligned perfectly, affirming I was divinely guided every step of the way.
- Message On The Wall: “Polako—you will be okay”: This simple, yet profound message gave me a sense of peace, reassurance and a confirmation that everything is a divine play.
- Sipping Tea and Hearing The Song, “You Deserve it All—Let Me Show You”: A melody of self-worth that served as a mirror to my own soul, reminding me to receive the abundance I deserve.
- “Put a Little Love in Your Heart”: The gentle lyrics of the song echoed through the air, wrapping me in their warmth: “You see it standing there—don’t hesitate. Put a little love in your heart. The world will be a better place for you and me, you just wait and see.”
As we move into new chapters of life, the journey of self-discovery and transformation continues to unfold. On January 8, 2025, the Soul Centered Nourishment podcast launches—a sacred space to explore deeper conversations, soulful reflections, and the wisdom that nourishes growth and transformation. I invite you to tune in and walk this path together.
A Divine Message
“Put a little love in your heart” was more than just a melody. It was a divine whisper, a sacred invitation to align with the essence of my soul. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of clarity and purpose. The words resonated deeply, vibrating through my being as if spoken directly to the core of my existence. Love isn’t just an act. It s a state of being, a sacred energy that naturally flows through us and all around us.
The song became a profound reminder of love’s transformative power—how even the smallest acts of love can create ripples, touching lives in ways we may never fully comprehend. It’s in those seemingly simple choices—choosing kindness over criticism, compassion over judgment—that we weave threads of divine connection into the fabric of humanity.
As the final notes lingered, they felt like a sacred promise, a gentle urging to carry these words as a mantra. I vowed to let love be my guide, to let it shape my thoughts, my actions, and my very essence. In that sacred space, I understood that love, even in its smallest expressions, has the power to ignite profound change, lighting even the darkest corners of existence.
And so, with love as my compass, I stepped forward—ready to embrace the infinite possibilities of the world, knowing that each step taken in love brings us closer to the divine within and all around us.
A Sacred Reflection
I consciously tuned into my energy, aligning with the vibration of my soul, and asked for a sign—a confirmation that I was on the right path. As if orchestrated by divine timing, my all-time favorite holiday song, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” began to play. It was more than a song; it was a sacred invitation to pause, reflect, and embrace the profound warmth within—the essence of my sacred and divine being.
The song reminded me of the eternal sanctuary that resides within. Its lyrics spoke not to the chill of the external world but to the invitation to nurture the inner warmth, love, and divine connection that we often overlook amidst life’s chaos. In that moment, I realized that the answers, the healing, and the experience I seek are not external—they dwell within the sacred essence of my soul, always present, patiently awaiting my recognition.
This sign was not only comforting but transformative. It revealed that life’s most profound alignments often come wrapped in the familiar—a melody, a word, a tender moment—offering gentle yet undeniable guidance. It became an affirmation to trust the whispers of my soul, to honor the sacred path unfolding before me, and to move forward with grace and a faithful heart. This moment was a reminder that the journey itself is as divine as the destination and that embracing the sacredness within is the truest act of faith.
Everything You Need Is Within
You don’t need anything external to heal your internal wounds. You are capable of nurturing and healing all those tender, loving parts of your existence. Everything you need is within your sacred, divine, and yes, your glorious, warm vessel. Baby, it’s cold outside—so lean into the warmth of your heart and soul, and above all, believe in yourself.
As we enter into the magical week of Christmas, may you recognize the divinity within yourself and in every soul you encounter. Follow your heart boldly, unapologetically, and with a sprinkle of holiday sparkle. May you experience the sacred in each interaction, the wonder in every experience, and the beauty in each precious moment of life. Let the season remind you that life is short, so make it as sweet as a Christmas cookie fresh from the oven—and just as satisfying.
Wishing you and your loved ones a holiday season filled with love, laughter, and inner peace. Remember, life is not perfect, so if the gravy spills or the tree lights tangle, it’s all part of the joy. So, embrace the imperfections, pour yourself some eggnog (or three), and toast to the messy, magical masterpiece that is life. – Happy Holidays –
With Love,

Written on Friday, December 20, 2024, and published on December 23, 2024. After two previous attempts, my visa was miraculously approved during my third visit—exactly nine days before my 90-day stay was set to expire. That day, as I sat in a beautiful coffee shop, I experienced profound confirmations and insights. It was in that space that these powerful reflections and inspirations emerged, inspiring me to write and share them with the world.
